After being busy on many other hobbies/activities till now, finally I started pedalling. It was my age long dream, in otherwords my vision - to Pedal to office. And it got realised few months back when I shifted my room, which voids me from walking and, coming in bus on highly crowded roads looked unreasonable.
With much opposition from many corners along with equal amount of backing, I decided to take an Hybrid cycle for 14K and it was exciting and fun to commute by pedalling to office. The day 1 of pedalling to office was more of an achievement than an excitement and I was so elated to show my Cycle to fellow collegues and friends. And days just rolled over in brisk way, same as the pedals of my cycle.
It was not me, the only one who took cycle but my good old chap (collegemate, room mate, collegue) who took same cycle on the very same instant. And much recently, probably after 2months of our purchase another close chap of us got the same cycle.
Its been one month since we took our Cycles and we just pedalled it to and from office. But for we the Wanderers, the itch was just intesifying to have an long ride or drive with this. Plans started on finalising places for peddaling and we cornered in on Manchanbele dam. But over the next few days nothing progressed on the trail as people were busy with things and some were sick. Finally on Friday 24-05-2012, I just started searching for an exciting cycling trail and most of the blogs mentioned about different spots on kanakapura road and Nandi hills. But few mentioned about Hessarghatta and posted a blog with mesmerizing pics of those grassland.
Since I already visited mancahnbele and being a frequent rider on Kanakapura road, insisted on visting Hessarghatta. Soon 1 out of other 3guys, Meke urf Bharath accepted this, as route to this spot was via his home (and bribed us with a breakfast!!). So it was all set to have long ride to Hessarghatta Lake and Grassland on Saturday Morning and we finalised on 3guys out of 4 as one Aakash had Viral fever. But the more commitment/itch was shown from Shyam, who was in Mysore the previous day started back to bangalore just to have the ride. And I should be rank 2 in excitement as I joined trail beside playing Badminton the previous night.
Actual Trail updates in next post!!
